Her stories are inspired by a sense of place, an appreciation for the past, and unexpected pleasures in life-especially the romantic kind. Melanie Harlow likes her martinis dry, her heels high, and her history with the naughty bits left in.

Loved all the characters and I’m looking forward to read more of Melanie Harlow’s books in the future. This story will break your heart, steam up your kindle and make you laugh out loud many times. Kindles will be melting as these two embark on their journey.īut Jack is not ready to let go of the ghost he carries in his heart…. But their differences are no match to their undeniable chemistry. Jack and Margot couldn’t be any more different. This story is the perfect case of opposites attract. He is not ready to have a stranger meddle into what is his dream. The Valentini brothers are in a dire need of someone to get their farm to the next step and on the map and hiring Margot’s PR company is just what they need, except Jack disagrees. Sassy, sweet and oh so proper city girl, Margot needs to get away from her surroundings, so a new account out of town seems to be a perfect solution to get a break while still working. “If I can be friends with a cocky, know-it-all farmer like you, you can handle a sweet little city girl like me.” Margot and Jack’s love story is intense, steamy and emotional. Jack is the perfect combination of hot and sexy mixed with rude and rugged.

I must confess this was my first Melanie Harlow book and I’m so happy that Jack Valentini popped my #HarlowCherry!!! He doesn’t think he deserves a second chance at happiness. Losing his wife left him broken and bitter and blaming himself. I’ve never done anything so out of character-but it feels too good to stop.Īnd the more I learn about the grieving ex-Army sergeant, the better I understand him. Pretty soon there’s a whole different kind of tension between us, the kind that has me misbehaving in barns, trees, and pickup trucks. He wants nothing to do with a “rich city girl” like me, and he isn’t afraid to say so.īut I’ve got a PR job to do for his family’s farm, so he’s stuck with me and I’m stuck with him. Jack might be gorgeous, but he’s also scruffy, rugged, and rude. Sexy, brooding cowboys are fine in the movies, but in real life, I prefer a suit and tie.
